Nawang Zangpo, a renowned and revered traditional thanka painter with over 29 years of experience, has painted hundred's of thankas and frescos for Khenpos, Lamas and 9 to 10 monasteries in India and Nepal. Nawang loves the dharma, serving the lamas and being of benefit. At a very young age, he studied the art of thanka painting under the guidance of some of the late great artists from the four sects and is specialized in both Karma Ghadri and Mandri styles.

Khenpo Namdrol and many other lamas have commisioned works from Nawang over the years and Khen Rinpoche is happy to share some examples of those incredibly detailed paintings on this site. Please enjoy!
